Where to Stay?

Gearhart is a small town about five miles north of Seaside. There are only two hotels/motels to stay at in Gearhart, but there are many condos and houses available to rent for the weekend or an extended stay. There are many options in Seaside if you aren't able to find something in Gearhart, or if Gearhart is too much of a sleepy town for you. We do recommend you book your lodging soon; places are starting to fill up.

Hotels

McMenamins Hotel...The hotel has set aside ten rooms under the Harmon/Hardy Wedding. They have a total of 18 rooms though. Any can be rented; you don't have to say you're with our party! Unfortunately they aren't offering a discount.

Gearhart Ocean Inn...This motel is a throwback to the 50's. It's two rows of rooms, all redone with a beachy feel. They're very nice here! We stayed here in January and couldn't have been happier.

Fitzgerald Inn...This is run by the same folks who own Gearhart Ocean Inn. It's only two cottages.

Houses and Condos

VRBO...Many of the houses available to rent are large (3 bedroom or more), but you can find some smaller ones. If you only need one or two bedrooms, your best option is to go with a condo. There are some condos on VRBO.

Gearhart by the Sea...Across the street from McMenamins there is a huge condo complex. They are all individually owned, but some are managed by this company. Many are dated, but all have photos so at least you know what you're getting! The nice thing about this complex is that there are a couple indoor pools you can use.

Homeaway...Another search site for houses and condos. Some repeat from VRBO.

Flip Key...Another search site. Lots of condos on this one.

10K Vacation Rentals...Yet another search site.

By The Sea...This is a management company. FYI...their office is in Seaside and you have to drive there to pick up your keys. If you're coming from Portland, not such a big deal.
